A fully automated car with a driver

There was a demonstration of fully automated cars near my workplace in Vantaa. Unfortunately the cars were suffering a serious demo effect and they needed a driver to operate them. The driver used a joystick for accelerate and when the car was about to collide with the fence, the driver steered the car to a different direction. I felt sorry for these guys. It's a very nice idea, but just not ready yet.
