Head-clasp

On my own galavanting with a  lens I was totally up for a bit of bug porn and got it. These black-tailed skimmers absolutely hated me with a vengeance. I have opted for the head-clasping shot up close and personal. Switch pictures if it has all has proved too much! 

On entering this field there were notices about anti-social behaviour being reported and ... patrols..... well they missed me .....


I've spent this afternoon hunting dragons and where they were supposed to be there were none, just not one, zilch. 

Having done a fairly  long walk to reach a dried up pond still not quite right from my bug (which Hubs thinks was salmonella) I sat in the car wondering what to do next then put in another place on the sat nav which I hadn't been to this year hoping for a better result. 

Yes there was more action at Pirton Pool and in the Extra you've a flying emperor dragonfly defending his small patch of the lake against intruders.
