On The Beach

We're in Munich now (more of that in later blips) but I have found a bit of time to catch up.

The first day of our trip went well. We drove down to Wapping and met up with daughters#1 and #2. It's not often we get to spend time with just the two of them, and not often they get some time together. In fact when we arrived they weren't there as they were on their way back from a shopping trip together (Tescos!). It was OK as we sat in the car and listened to the end of the Test match. Great result for England!

Update: they also went to The Range and Superdrug

When they got back we had lunch at the Prospect Of Whitby. Not a bad pub to have as your local.  We then drove down to where daughter#2 had been staying to collect her things. They both automatically got in the car on their usual sides from when they were children.

Talking of children we collected grandsons Rory and Joe from school and pre-school. We played with them a bit before departing for our hotel with daughter#2. Rory was really upset that we were leaving, Joe wasn't so bothered :-)

I took this photo of mrsfb and her girls on the Thames beach near the Prospect. We asked a girl if she would take a photo of the four of us which I will put on as an extra. She asked us if we wanted the background view in, to which we said yes, then she cut off our feet! She was most impressed/surprised that the camera had a viewfinder!
