The fact that the little one is not yet verbal doesn't put a stop to some spirited table talk.

Thanks for the responses to our feline  guest who continues to tolerate his obligatory sojourn with a fairly good grace. He is allowed the run of part of the house at night - at least until his  protestations become too loud.

Active grandparenting continues, along with dog walking, vegetable watering, raspberry picking, ministeriing to enclosed hens and cooking for six. Son and d'-in-law's house purchase is proving as nail-biting as Boris Johnson's tenure as PM but will, we hope, turn out more secure in the long term.
