Second batch
and still enough apples in the tree to keep me busy. As if I have time to spare.
I have discovered the easiest way to make applesauce. Pick apples and cook them directly with a layer of water, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Then pass it through the passing mill and voilà! I see a pip here and there, but no peels, stalks, worms or other odd things.
I'm used to peeling the apples and cutting the cores uot first, but no, never again. The applesauce looks good. I expect it to taste good too.
