Mum’s the Word

There are quite a few Blackbirds in our garden, but I’m fairly sure this one is the female of the pair who are nesting in the hedge. Like any good mother, she is always alert, sitting atop the hedge, looking out for danger.
It’s been a blustery day, but we managed to get out into the garden to plant out and pot up the plants we bought at the nursery yesterday.
