Visit

Dad 87 now into his 5th week in hospital and is doing well … relatively. Still on a cocktail of antibiotics, steroids & oxygen in addition to his usual 12 prescriptions but is sitting up, chatty and doing ‘dad jokes’. We were watching Wimbledon and he said he used to play tennis but gave it up as they kept offering him juice and calling him love.

His table - juice, water, coffee, biscuits, sweets, newspaper, glasses, tissues and a Mr Grumpy shampoo “Misery is a sign of intelligence” ha!

Needed a glass of wine afterwards and had spiced sea bass & chips at the Torfin … Vegetarian Husband had ‘vegan’ fish, complete with a layer of nori seaweed as skin and said it was ok. I loved my sea bass & Chardonnay.
