Southern lunch
Squash dressing, buttermilk cornbread, fresh corn, tomatoes, and peppers and deer sausage.
We had a productive day today. I picked the squash and cucumbers. We processed and froze fresh corn. A friend gave us about 70-75 ears. Johnny shucked and cleaned it and I cut it off the cob, heated and cooled, bagged it up and froze it! I then set up a jar of cucumbers to ferment into pickles . I also made a couple of jars of refrigerator dill pickles . Then we picked sone more blueberries. We had a visitor in between. I am grateful for a day that felt productive!
