A stupid pun

A stupid pun that I found on the local social pages, but not untrue.

I try to explain. First of all, you need to know that in Lodi's area (province of Lombardy) there are three towns:

- Piacenza (name contains 'piace' = 'like')
- Lodi (meaning 'praise')
- Crema (reminiscent of the term 'cremare' = which in English means...)

That said, the translated pun should be understandable:

"Said the heat: I don't come from Piacenza to please you, nor from Lodi to praise you, but from Crema to cremate you".
