I was lost...

There's always something that gets thrown out by mistake when you move house, and we always seem to bring a bag of rubbish with us. I thought I'd lost my new boots, and Roy thought he'd lost an engine. I was looking for my swimming shoes (still lost) and found the boots with a wee train nestling inside.

When I got these boots, I mentioned them to my mother, and that I'd got them in Jones the Bootmaker. Anyone who knows her won't be surprised to learn that she did an eyebrow and said, "What were you doing in a bookies?!"
