The collage shows it all.

We seem to have the best spot under a tree with this fledgling ? Whistling Kite ( someone said it was a kite but I wouldn’t know).

We travelled across the Barkly Tableland with strong cross winds. Most of the road was excellent but some was needing repair, we couldn’t speed as it was SO windy. 

We passed a lone Police Station at Avon Downs. That was all that was there. I suppose it’s the south eastern outpost in case the Police are needed.

We passed a homestead with helicopter ( best way to travel out here) some cattle yards, a drilling rig and a football. Some child will be missing it. 

I walked down town to take these pictures, only two places to purchase anything including the Post Office / general store and the service station / caravan park. Across the road was a pub with some accommodation and another caravan park. What would they do without the travelling public?
