Home sweet home!

What a crazy day this has been! The alarm clock woke me at 3.45 this morning. I checked the Icelandair app, to find that the flight had been rescheduled from 7.40 to 8.45. We took it easy with breakfast and then drove to the airport. All went smooth, until it was time to drop off our bags. The conveyor belt wasn't working and we were staring at the same suitcases on the belt for at least 20 minutes. We did get on board on time, but the flight was delayed further and we left at 9.15.

When we had arrived at Schiphol, we went to the baggage belt to be reunited with the bags we had dropped off at Keflavik. Or so we thought.. Instead of our bags, the bags of the next flight to Keflavik airport appeared on the belt! Before everything was settled, it was six 'o clock in the evening. When I woke up, I was expecting to be home around half past three. Instead, it became half past nine. Just in time to capture the last light on the Widde Meuln windmill. Home sweet home!
