Moves like Jagger
We left Lincoln after breakfast and headed to London; with a pit stop at Bicester Village .
We’d booked a hotel in Wembley, partly because it was close to the tube connections so we could leave the car there and partly mainly because it was walking distance to the Ace Cafe.
We had our tea there, then set off to explore London.
My nail tech (who knows how much I love all things Tiffany) had sent me a video of Harrods; they have changed the exterior bulbs to blue to mark the 150th anniversary of Tiffany. We thought that was deffo worth seeing.
Obviously, we needed to wait until it had gone dark, so I suggested that we get off the tube at Hyde Park (as neither of us have ever been there) then walk to Knightsbridge.
As we walked through the park, we could hear music, so we followed the sound and discovered it was only The Rolling Stones!!!
It was incredible to see all the people in the park, on deckchairs in front of the huge fences, enjoying the concert for free!
Mr A spied a gathering close to the fence. As we got closer, we could see there was a gap, and through it, you could see the stage.
Which is how I managed to get todays blip of Sir Mick.
So after the disappointment of Vivaldi, ‘seeing’ the Stones for free was a huge bonus.
We finally got to Harrods after dark, only to find it was it’s usual colour. Turns out the blue lights were only on until the end of June. However, because Harrods is such a big building, there was one side that they’d not had time to change yet. It was worth the walk to see it :-)
