Potato harvest

The potatoes in the tunnel have been harvested successfully, five buckets full of good quality potatoes from a 2m x 2m patch.  This followed a long period of uncertainty as the seed had sprouted in early November, having been stored along with the apples in an enclosed dark space.  To prevent the sprouts developing out of control, the seed were put in the light on a windowsill for four months, until they were planted in early March.
