Regatta

Don’t you just love the eccentricity of the English? Unless I’m mistaken, this is two canoes lashed together and turned into a very small dining area, floating down the Thames at Henley Regatta.

My brother organises a corporate event at Henley every year and at the end of the week, he arranges a day for the family to be there.

It sounds very splendid but essentially, it’s a huge get together by the riverside, where we watch the racing, dabble about on the river in his boat, eat lots of food and those not driving, enjoy a drink.

This year was especially wonderful as a Spitfire did two flyovers, which made my day.
