Union of South Africa

14C with bright spells and a light breeze. Pleasant.

Today has been a day of steam trains !

Northbound at lunchtime we had the Lancashire Fusilier pulling a tour train. The same train came Southbound later in the afternoon, this time pulled by the Union of South Africa which is today's blip. Quite a few people turned out near the level crossing at Westhaven for both trains.

Maeve the Deerhound and I had our usual lunchtime walk, although we did wait after we crossed the level crossing to get a photo of the Northbound steam train.

I mowed the front lawn this afternoon. Much more fun was wandering back down the road after 5pm to see another steam train :-)
