Bass Face

In the afternoon and before Ivy arrived I took Morrigan out for a short run and took in some music at Keynsham's Music Festival. What with covid etc it's been ages since I had got my live music fix, and my old school mate Mike was playing bass with The River Phoenix Band.

I guess all musicians have their expression of intense pleasure when they play. There's the open mouthed howl of the lead guitarist, the swinging grin of the power chorder - and for the bass, the face.

Nearly all the bands playing were excellent, and Mike's band is always worth checking out. A couple of them were doing their best to emulate Spinal Tap and wind the volume up to eleven, and my electric ears were howling like that lead guitarist until I turned them down!

And it didn't even rain!
