Long Necked Turtle

I didn't expect to be photographing a turtle today, but when he was taken out of his tank for a short while, he immediately became the focus of interest. A bbq at grandson's fiancee's parents with many of the family today, cooked under cover outside, and eaten indoors. Weather is still utterly atrocious, incessant rain and severe flooding around the area.
The baby turtle is two years old, and a much loved family pet, with a beautiful tank for a home, which is regularly checked and monitored for a healthy environment....he is taken out at intervals to harden his shell... an unusual pet though to say the least!
