Police Scotland Day 20

A number of agencies were joined by community representatives and local secondary school pupils for a meeting with a difference in Ardrossan.  The morning meeting started in the town's Princes Street and involved a number of agencies including North Ayrshire Council, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue, North Ayrshire CCTV and North Ayrshire Mediation Services.

Officially called an Environmental Visual Audit the street meetings now have a proven track record in identifying local issues and having them rectified.  Held as part of the current Multi Agency Problem Solving Group action plan in the town, partner agencies are working together with the community to tackle issues including litter, antisocial behaviour and crime in the community.
