Artichokes

After trimming the spikes from the petals, steaming the artichokes, then trying the petals, removing the choke, I got to a thin heart with absolutely no flavor. I thought it was an ornamental artichoke, but I had to prove it to myself.
Confirmed: it’s an ornamental artichoke!
