Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport
I went to church at St. André?s for the last time. :( so sad. The regular attendees were becoming familiar faces and as well as the priests. I will miss all my fellow parishioners. As a goodbye, I donated 2 euros for the collection.
Afterwards, I walked towards Victoire since the trams were not running within Musée d?Aquitaine and probably Quinconces. There was another strike. This time it was about modern slavery. I stuck around for a while and took some shots. People here are just so impassioned in what they strike for. It?s amazing.
Once I got home, I put cleaning mode into high gear and made my room spotless, so that my brother would have a nice clean place to stay. Then by about 2 or 3, I made my way out and headed towards the airport. Getting to the airport required using tram B, then tram A, and finally bus 49. It took about an hour and half to get there. I even made a stop at Mérignac Centre, which is the terminus for tram A. I am almost done with my project of visiting every single tram terminus. One thing I will miss about the trams is the lovely, gentle voice of, what us Californians have dubbed, the ?tram lady.? Hopefully in a later post I will write the different phrases she says.
About an hour of waiting and my brother finally came out of baggage claim. It was exciting to see him and I was so happy to have a relative come visit me. I am hoping that the rest of my stay here will be a lot of fun.
In the photo, you see the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. The overpass on the top is departures and right below you see grape vines. Nothing is complete with grape vines in Bordeaux.
