Modifications

Just when I thought the decoration was complete and I was attaching the the door handles and latches, I discovered that the new latch was ever so slightly larger than the original one.  So I had to chisel out a slightly larger hole in the door, at which point I found that a previous modification to the door (not by me) was not strong enough and I had to insert an extra piece of wood and use filler to finish off.  All this means that I will now have to touch up the paintwork - so a delay to completion.

Irritating.

I'm still backblipping to catch up.
