Rescued

Last fall I had a pot full of bromeliads (I can’t remember the name!) that I repotted and just kept one. These things reproduce like rabbits!

Anyway I threw all the extras out at the edge of the woods where they got covered with raked up leaves and probably frostbitten during winter.  The other day when I hung our bedding on the clothesline I saw a patch of red.

Yep, the plant had rooted and was growing a flower.  Ir was barely in the composted leaves. I got it up and planted it in the red wagon with the dianthus. It is not dying!

The plant I kept in the pot is doing nothing. Not growing or blooming and no offshoots yet.  Maybe I need to throw it in the woods.

In other news out air conditioner is not working properly!!!!   We called our repair guy and he did come over...bless him...   Unfortunately he can't fix it!   Not until Tuesday or Wednesday depending on if he can get what we need...a whole new unit!   I guess 20 years is about the life of the unit.   Good news is we are heading to the mountains where it is much cooler!
