Culinary delights

In Venice (currently 29c and it’s 9.20pm), after two flights to get here from Edinburgh, courtesy of Lufthansa. 

Don’t believe what you hear about Germans being organised or humourless. Both flights were delayed (not that we were told that as we were running all round Frankfort airport to get to our flight to Venice, with me getting a stitch on the way), which is apparently due to a lack of baggage handlers all through Europe according to the lovely Lufthansa staff. All the staff we met on the flights were lovely and up for a good chat.

Also, the meals were lovely and who knew that you still get proper crockery and metal cutlery!

Anyway, knackered now … but looking forward to going to Trieste tomorrow to catch the cruise ship.
