Sails

This afternoon we caught the bus up to Mousehole for the Maritime Festival - Sea Salt & Sail - which is taking place over three days of this weekend.

We avoided the crowds at the stalls and entertainment down in the harbour and watched the boats from the harbour walls and the coastal path. A great collection of traditional sailing boats has gathered - all ages, styles, sizes. They sailed the waters close to Mousehole and it was fun to try to identify them from the detailed programme.

I liked this photo with the view across to St Michael's Mount   (look large for better resolution), but just look at all the sails (extra) as a group of them negotiate St Clement's Isle just by the harbour.
