The European rhinoceros beetle

I found interesting beetle from our leaf compost. I took pictures over news paper. It is The European rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes nasicornis, FIN sarvikuonokas). It is one of the most bigest beetle in Finland. This is very wellcome neighbour.

One interesting piece of information: They live 3-5 years as maggot.
