Woodland Anemones

It was a damp morning but Chris said it was to dry up by 10.00am. I had planned to look for Wood Anemones yesterday in the St Ives woods as I had seen them from the road but my flip flop dilemma put an end to that. So today we headed to Goit Stock where I knew there would be lots by Harden Beck.

Lots there were indeed even though I have chosen to show only two in this shot by the beck.
There were also Celandine and Butterbur which I had not seem before till ValC blipped them the other day.

We had a near disaster, my camera case fell into the beck but Chris came to the rescue!
He wasn't right about the rain though, it got worse so we shortened the walk by returning to the village via Leech Lane and went to the Potting Shed for coffee. It was full of Toddler group grannies including Corinthian Column who I will be seeing again tonight in the pub.
