Earning a living

When it rained today it really rained!! An enormous puddle gathers outside my shop and when the rain stops I have to sweep the water away otherwise I become an island. Rumour has it that the garden centre has been sold but it may be October before the deal is finalised.
The gas boat came through the bridge by my house this morning and moored up. I thought he was delivering to a barge already moored up but it is still there now. I’ve seen the gas boat going too and fro for several years but it’s never moored up before.
