Last Christmas...

This is a bag of Christmas pressies for my friend Isabel and her grandkids. Before you think I'm super-organised, these were for last Christmas!  We were invited to join her, her grown up son and daughter, their kids and the in-laws for Christmas day last year. A few days before, restrictions were announced and because of the maximum number allowed together indoors and being the only non-family members, we pulled out. Restrictions were in place for a while and then for a while it was too cold to meet outside.  Since then, Isabel and I have been trying to meet up but she has 4 grandkids under 5, babysits for them constantly and one of them always has some bug or other or Covid.  We were on the point of meeting up this week when her son's family all got Covid again and now, for the first time, Isabel has it.  Will they be handed over before Christmas this year?!  The After Eights are now out of date, as are the cherry liqueurs. At least out of date as a pressie. We might eat them ourselves though!
