Craigtoun Country Park

I love a country park, exploring trails through woodland, wandering through gardens, discovering the history behind the place and seeing older buildings, whether still in use or not.

Apart from there being the usual adventure playground, the inner child in me today loved that at this one, there was a boating pond, fairy glen and best of all, a miniature railway that, of course, we had to go on!

Oh, and don’t forget about Snow White by the wishing well who had lost her seven dwarves. Admittedly though, we didn’t look very hard for them all and only found Happy, Grumpy and Sleepy.

A lovely day out for the family with a good combination of free and paid-for activities for everyone to enjoy.
