There and ... not back

I was foolish, I checked the trains and saw no cancellations on my line so took the S6 into D'dorf to meet my friend for a photo tour of Kiefernstrasse
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiefernstra%C3%9Fehttp:// We had a lovely time and then a great lunch in a little Portuguese restaurant before heading back to the train station....checked my app for what time train I needed and discovered all the S6 were cancelled...so I got a train to the next town along & begged Little miss bossy to come fetch me.
The monthly 9€ ticket is a lovely idea in theory Deutsche Bahn, but it helps if you actually run the trains.
