Little Friends

This is me, on knees and elbows on the salty crust as the light disappeared, with my lens inches from the water, trying to get a closer look at the brine shrimps. (I'm glad nobody else ever goes there). The only thing that fell in the water was a lens hood, and the salty crust of the tide-line didn't collapse and sink me into the mud, small miracles!
I don't know if helps give a sense of scale to say that the cubes are salt crystals.
They're fascinating little creatures, I can understand why people kept "sea monkeys" as pets.
