I went to meet Pip (half-sis) for coffee at Addaia in the morning; there is a cafe at the harbour, and I found a sweet Muskovy duck there before Pip arrived.

We enjoyed watching a pair of spotted flycatchers (re)building their nest in this little plastic pot on our terrace over the first few days of our holiday; the female then stayed on the nest and looked thoroughly affronted whenever we went within eyeshot. They've nested there many successive years (albeit previously in a nicer terracotta pot), and they nest multiple times over spring and summer. Mum bought a replacement terracotta pot when we were in Ciutadella, but put it up on a different wall rather than disturb them at this time.

We headed into Mahon for tapas supper at the fish market in the early evening.
