HMS Lancaster

Have had an amazing day. I was privilaged to be part of a small group from the Worshipful company of Constructors to spend the day on HMS Lancaster. We had a fascinating tour of the ship. These are probably the smallest guns at the crews disposal! We had lunch with the Commanding Officer - Captain Tom Johnson, who we discover is 38. And so, by far the youngest person in the room!

My extra is of a book where the Queen and Prince Philip signed when the ship was first commissioned in 1990.

A brilliant day. I learnt so much.
