Another fine example of the perils of online supermarket shopping

The photograph of these persimmon made them look huge, but what arrived was a different matter. These three, lined up like naughty schoolchildren, are tiny.

Now I am waiting patiently for them to ripen and deliver a mouthful each.

I like them when they are very soft (bletted) and can tell the right moment when the fruit flies circle above them like vultures.
