A Day Out
Super day today meeting up with BlipBuddy Hildasrose at Sulgrave Manor - about halfway between our homes. The weather was good and the tea room absolutely excellent - great quiche for lunch and wonderful cake before we parted. Sulgrave is the ancestral home of George Washington although it was his great-grandfather who actually lived there. A gentle place with interesting gardens - I even knew a few of the flower names. (This one is Bear's Breeches!) I took my Lensbaby Trio to use and this is taken with the Velvet lens from it.
One of the children's 'entertainments' set up was making a paper boat (can't remember the reason) from very clear instructions set out. Well, neither Rose nor I managed to achieve anything resembling a boat despite many attempts - I had to spend time in the stocks as punishment (see extra in Rose's journal).
A busy evening - hence the late blip - sorting out the re-arrangements for a Birmingham Photowalk for camera club. 'Line workings' on the Chiltern Line would have made travel by train very challenging, so research and re-thinking necessary.
