The first of many!

Hooray! The first courgette! We will likely be sick of them by the end of the season, but just now I am really looking forward to being able to eat them.

These two plants are on the top of the middle compost bin. It's not mature enough to go on the garden, but breaking down nicely. They have a bit of protection from the worst of the wind and the roots grow out of the bottom of the pots into the compost, so extra nutrition.

We've also had the first strawberries - fairly divided - three each! Lots more to come hopefully, they are netted so that the blackbirds can't get at them!
