Holidaaaaaay!

Wasn’t quite as excited when I was getting up at 1am. Our taxi arrived a bit early but thankfully we were ready. Without having to check luggage, we walked straight through security and had plenty of time to kill before getting a bit of pre-plane breakfast. We were about half an hour late taking off, but not bad considering!

Our transfer went smoothly too, and we were in Mellieha soon after midday. We dropped our bags then went to get a nice cold drink and had an explore. Mellieha is stunning, we definitely visited at the right time, with blossom absolutely everywhere.

We walked down to the sea for a paddle, then back up to check into our room. We totally lucked out, with a stunning view over the bay and the church tower. There was a fancy Asian fusion restaurant on the roof of our hotel, so we headed up there for dinner - what a view. Somehow we hadn’t eaten since our 4am airport breakfast but hadn’t noticed - still couldn’t quite manage our huuuge portions of food though.
