Missing the point…

The former St James Church, Constitution Street, Leith.

Most recently used as a builders’ merchants, the church was closed as a place of worship in the 70s. A couple of years later part of the spire was removed.

I personally prefer the local legend that the top of the spire was wooden and it burned off after being struck by lightning.
