Low Light Heron

I was chuffed... I got me a Bluethroat at Slimbridge! 

I know plenty of people have been driving a long way to try and get that shot. Well, this shot, which is not mine and was taken in sunshine. But the afternoon was dreadfully grey, and occasionally very very wet. 

So I'm going with the heron.

I'll put the bluethroat into the extra, cropped for the screen size. I need the teleconverter at least, and sunshine, before I get anywhere near the shot I've linked to, which was with a 800mm prime lens.

...but as someone said, it's a record shot. ;-)
