Corstorphine Heritage Centre
I caught the bus over to Corstorphine for the Water of Leith League bowls match. The Number 1 bus stops at St Margaret's Park and Corstorphine Heritage Centre is just inside the gates. The building can be traced back to 1587. It's sometimes called Gibsone's Lodge after the late 18th century occupants, the Gibsone's of Pentland. There's some mystery and confusion as to why it was called The Dower House. Corstorphine Trust took it over in the 1990s. Corstorphine became a part of Edinburgh only in 1920!
Bainfield won the two ties today. Our team won 3 - 19, I was very happy with my own game. Our other team won 12 -14.
This morning I was out with the running group and got drowned, again, in the rain!
