Tiny Tuesday: Threesome!

We've had such a busy (but lovely) day that I confess I've not had time to take a "Mystery" Tiny Tuesday photo for Jensphotos's TT challenge this week, so this bit of insect porn will have to suffice. There's not much of a mystery about what's going on here!

We spent the day with some of the family visitors (plus Granddog) at Druridge Bay - in the morning on the gorgeous but windy beach and (after a break for fish & chips at Amble) we spent the afternoon walking round Ladyburn Lake back at the Druridge Bay Country Park, enjoying watching the waterbirds and the damselflies.

Then it was back home for a quick bite to eat before setting off to Bigwaters Nature Reserve (northwest of the city) for Part 2 of our camera club Macro Training Session (Part 1 last Tuesday was a talk plus indoor practical). The weather was a bit iffy but I took lots of photos. So that was the location of the insect porn shot in my main blip, and then just as we were leaving I spotted the "flying saucer" effect in the extra! (The effect looks better viewed small - it's not so convincing viewed large.)
