Divide and conker (sic)

Dear Blipmates
Following the announcement by Nicola Sturgeon today, I need to make a brief, unusually serious statement.

I don’t care whether you’re for or against Scotland leaving the current UK.

I hate divisiveness, and the pretence that only either the unionist status quo or nationalist isolationism is an acceptable or sustainable future.

I’d rather we were four (or five) federal nation states, working together united within a European Union, but that’s my personal opinion.

I won’t foist it on you, or attack you and your alternative opinion as intrinsically abhorrent, but I will expect the same courtesy, and hope BlipWorld can be a bastion of calm in what will no doubt be another hateful and polemic period of sabre-rattling.
