Very much part of Life at 60 is the Search and Rescue Helicopter based at Sumburgh. Living in the South Mainland of Shetland you can see or hear it most days. Here it is taking off from the Lerwick landing site after completing a Medic vac from a Norwegian factory ship in the North Sea where a crew member had a suspected heart attack.

Still affectionately known as Oscar Charlie after the call sign used for many years.
