Chudfest open gardens

Walked Indie, followed by coffee & Danish pastry, then back up to Chudleigh for Mum & I to continue our garden visits. Today, only two gardens on the outskirts of Chudleigh so we drove, a bit too far for Mum to walk. This lodge on  is on the Ugbrooke estate, one of the staff lives here with his partner. A WIP, some established beds on a steep site with some lovely planting. Many of the plants were rescued from Sainsbury's Homebase throw outs as the lady of the lodge worked there. 2 gorgeous working spaniels in kennels at the top of the garden.  Glorious sunshine made all the difference, we were lucky as rain was forecast. We bumped into more folks that we knew, plus a lady who bought plants from me the previous Saturday, & who kindly had left a Verbena bonariensis on my doorstep, so I was able to thank her. :-)
