On the East Coast
We are on a mini break on the East Coast of England on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders staying on Oulton Broad. The Broads are a series of lakes in this particular part of the world and Oulton Broad is the most southerly.
We are just outside of the town of Lowestoft which used to be a major fishing port, in its heyday landing 400 million tons of herring in a season. Not now, the town seems a tad down trodden and with obscene catches like that l am surprised there are any herring left in the sea. We are in a tiny apartment in what appears to be a marina/shipbuilding yard so lots of interesting goings on.
The extra is for NZers - a long way from home.
