First harvest
The shallots have been looking about ready to dig for a week or two and so we lifted some today, with a little garlic for the kitchen.
I am pleased with the shallots, they have grown well and were worth the space.
This afternoon we headed for Whitbarrow and the butterfly count, as the sun began peeking through. It was a good decision as I saw my first Silver washed Fritillaries of the year see extra. The sunny sections were very good with blues, Northern brown Argus, Dark green fritillaries.
Wish the weather could settle down again!
