Ringlet butterfly

I sorted out all the camping gear etc. then popped into town to get some supplies.

This afternoon I went over to the castle to get a blip and saw this Ringlet butterfly, the forst that I've seen this year. Unfortunately there was no light on it as it was well down amongst the grasses. It's called a ringlet after the circles on it's wings.

While I was there I met two folkie friends of mine and we were chatting for ages as we hadn't seen each other for a while. Then a chat with a neighbour as I reached the house so an enjoyable trip to the castle.
