The tame hippo who I visited 6 years ago with Terri (Terrifo on blip) is alive and well and still enjoying entertaining tourists for her keep! The family went to see her today and in extra Jack and Daniela can be seen giving her the sweet potato she eats and the rooibos tea she drinks! We had another wonderful, full on day, visiting Hoedspruit where we enjoyed a delicious lunch, eventually.   It took over one and a half hours to arrive...
This evening Simon cooked us a delicious spicy kale with chicken dish - in much less time.  All the family ate together so it was wonderful to enjoy the teens chatter etc again.
The weather has been grim (for SA standards) with a sneaky wind and a bit of rain tonight. A lot of grey clouds about again - bah humbug!

Once again thank you all so much for the stars and hearts gifted to the giraffe with a view.  It is much appreciated.
