Kicking King.

I came across this photo of our eldest grandson today. Probably taken about 20 years ago.
His class had to dress up as characters from the alphabet learning system, and he chose to dress up as ‘ Kicking King’.
Probably a system not used in schools today.

I hope this is suitable for today’s Mono Monday challenge ‘ Royalty’.

We had a long chat with our friends, who have moved to France, where they have been having very high temperatures, followed by thunderstorms.
We were interested to learn that the vineyards we used to visit in the Southern Rhône are struggling to get labour to work in the fields.
Seems to be a problem in Europe and not just here.

At last we have had some rain, but only light showers and not enough to thoroughly wet the soil.
Fortunately cleared up so that the Test match could continue at Headingley.
Well done England on another win, thanks to two Yorkshiremen!
